Injustice: Gods Among Us is currently the only fighting game on PS4, and has been confirmed as incompatible with every fightstick on the market.
Sony has officially said that PS3 fightsticks would work on PS4 if the developers chose to add that feature. and it has been pretty rough for stick players. Thankfully, over the years there have been companies producing fightsticks for consoles that brings the arcade feel home, the biggest being Mad Catz.Īs I previously reported, next-gen consoles have launched. We haven't seen a console launch with a controller using that button layout since the Sega Saturn. Thats it guys. The fighting game genre was born in arcades, with a control scheme prominently centered around a stick with 4 to 6 face buttons. I am a huge FGC guy, and play A LOT of fighting games, so ifelt my FGC peeps would want to know how it is in huge detail.
Hopefully they offer more bundle option in the future. Only as a bundle with season 1 (which i own) which cost $30. Thing is, season 2 is not available standalone.
Also, I owned season 1 that i got free with games with gold back in january (i purchased it from my 360 incase i got an Xbone) and i just bought season 3 combo breaker edition, and i wanted to complete it with season 2. Not a bad value, as you get some KI gold as well, about $5 worth of it, but it would have been nice to buy him without the shadow jago bundle for just $5 like the rest of the solo cast. Shadow Jago does not come with any combo pack or season, and is $10 stand alone.
Really, for me at least, it all comes down to some of the purchasing options.
Cross-buy, and cross-play with Xbox One is amazing, the net code is the BEST of any fighting game at the moment, and the best part about KI on PC is that, unlike The Xbox One version, you DON'T need an Xbox Live subscription to play online! And did i mention? its Free-to-download, and you only buy the seasons you want, or if you love the game, you can buy all seasons in the "Supreme Edition", which is $10 bucks LESS on PC and if you buy it on PC and if you have an Xbox One, everything you buy on the PC will show up on the Xbone version, and Vice versa =D. And THIS.is the definitive version in my opinion :). Now,after 3 years, it has finally come to PC. And I've always wanted to buy the new 2013 KI, but i didn't want to buy an Xbox One for it. I've always wanted to buy the new 2013 KI, but i didn't want to buy an Xbox One for it. This game is free to sample, you'd be a fool not to try it out, even if you've never tried fighting games before. The mind games in KI are ridiculous due to the combo breaker/counter breaker system which only adds to the hype. The dojo is great for beginners and with a combo system as well it means even those who have never played a fighting game before have a brilliant introduction to the world. Controls are incredibly responsive, the netcode (using GGPO) is currently one of the best of any online fighting game. Each music track is dynamically programmed as well so it responds to the action. Mick Gordon's amazing work has been matched in season 3 by the new composers. It's brilliant how it won't let people play ranked unless they choose graphics options which pass the performance test in the game to prevent lag in competitive multiplayer! The sound is simply the best in not just any fighting game but any game I have ever played. The graphics are top notch and run silky smooth on a gaming PC. It doesn't feel quite as "clean/simple" as Street Fighter due KI's faster pace and greater variety of types of character and so may well appeal to a different fighting game fan. Having played most fighting games I love KI.
I love how KI have given a purchasing model that supports those that only want to play one character or even to demo the complete game for free with a character but also given the option for people like me to buy the complete edition with all skins.
I want to be able to pay whatever it takes to not be nickle and dimed. I love I'm someone that hates micro-transactions when it's done wrong. I'm someone that hates micro-transactions when it's done wrong.
